Today, our society is more technologically advanced than it has ever been, and our schools have become more technologically progressive over the past few years, but does having technology in the classroom help or hinder the students from learning? An app was created for students 8 years or younger, where they can learn early reading skills such as basic sight words, and they can practice writing and grammar skills while creating their own interactive stories (Pilgrim, Bledsoe and Reily). Mathematics apps focus on beginning concepts of math number sense and include diagnostic games to determine the instructional level of each student.
